Chello "As Erroll"
« on: December 08, 2015, 10:53:47 PM »
Here's a tune I played for a couple of years ago when I had a Tyros1.
The tune is "Autumn Leaves" -  it only appeared - as a pure improvisation, completely on the fly.

I here interprets the melody in the way I remember Erroll Garner would have done it.

So here is "As Erroll"

Thank you for your positive criticism - it is also particularly nice that you think I'm playing "as Erroll".
This type of swing is very difficult and requires a great deal of attention.

Thank you, Dave.

Well played, Chello, you really have the 'Erroll spirit'.. and I know you are even better now.  bravo1.gif  welldone.gif
The technical midi-error was not able to spoil it.

Thank you brother.

This style was a venture to use, because I had made new voices for this via software.

Midi is not always cooperative; especially when you replacing piano with accordionbass.
As a result of this was also the harmonies "on the edge", and the sound very "midi" for the bass section.

But it was fun to play it.  Samba.gif

Yes bro, that's typical midi when you replacing piano with accordion; both bass and harmonies can go 'wild'.. foxes_171.gif I've heard many terrible examples of that. But this one was not so wild, 'Erroll' was more wild.. images (29).jpg Guitar-1.gif

000206D.gif Chello, Errol is new to me I'm afraid but your style is quite interesting, sounds of a very nervous nature comes to me, however that is Not a criticism as such, I like to experiment too....

well played sir...

I am trying here to show several things; that instruments can be varied in unaccustomed ways,
plus MIDI In spite of its limitations can withstand pretty much swing - but this requires great concentration.

Thank you for your positive comment. BigThumbs.gif

Hello chello, very nice takeover of this song, with this jazzy atmosphere that I adore, not easy to play at all like this and also requires a lot of fingering

I say a great congratulations.    bravo-clapping-...y-emoticon.g

I always play this way; Without sheets and "on the direct" -
My improvisation is always different for each performance.
This increases the risk of making mistakes and many recordings must be discarded.

Swing is, in my opinion, the most demanding of everything because this requires constant 100% attention and empathy.
